CORIELLE YARDE, MARIST
Sophomore, Guard, 5-8, Leesport, PA/Schuylkill Valley
Yarde had back-to-back 20-point efforts for the first time in her career this week, leading Marist to wins over Niagara and Fairfield at the McCann Center. The sophomore led the Red Foxes in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and free throw percentage in the two wins. She also finished the week with an assist-turnover ratio of 6.0. Yarde averaged 24 points and eight rebounds per game, shooting 59.3% from the field, 71.4% from beyond the arc, and 91.7% at the foul line. She started the week with 23 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in the Red Foxes' 73-56 win over Niagara last Tuesday. On Friday night against Fairfield, Yarde scored 25 points, making 9-of-14 shots from the field including all three of her three-pointers and all four free throws. She also had eight boards, two assists, three blocks, and three steals against the Stags. During Marist's current seven-game winning streak, Yarde has averaged a team-high 19.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while shooting 52.8% from the field, 45.9% from the three-point line, and 89.7% at the free throw line.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
CAITLIN BOPP, RIDER
Freshman, Center, 6-2, Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame
A two-time MAAC Rookie of the Week, the Rider rookie continued her strong play this past week. After missing the game at Saint Peter's due to a knee injury suffered at Manhattan, Bopp scored a career-high 19 points and added 11 rebounds in a road game at Loyola on January 8. Bopp gutted her way through 25 minutes and was 9-14 from the field. She is currently sixth in the nation in rebounds for freshmen and 40th overall. This was Bopp's fourth double-double this season and second in a row. In two MAAC games, Bopp is averaging 14.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
