Manhattan to Host Iona this Friday on ESPNU

Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2009-10 MAAC Basketball Television Schedule with Manhattan College hosting Iona College on Friday, January 22. Game time is slated for 9:00 p.m. at Draddy Gymnasium, and it will air live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.
Iona is currently 13-6 overall and 5-3 in the MAAC. The Gaels are led by sophomore guard Scott Machado, who is averaging 12.5 points and 4.3 assists per game, and freshman guard Kyle Smyth, who is registering 9.4 points and 3.0 rebounds a night.
Manhattan is now 7-11 overall and 2-6 in league play. The Jaspers are led by junior guard Rico Pickett, who is averaging 16.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, and senior guard/forward Darryl Crawford, who is registering 14.9 points and 6.1 rebounds a night.
Last year, Iona won the first meeting at Madison Square Garden with a 71-51 win over Manhattan on January 24. The Jaspers then earned a 52-39 victory over the Gaels on February 9 at Draddy Gymnasium.
