McKenzie helped Loyola to two big wins last week with two 20-point performances in a row and career-highs in rebounds and assists. Starting off the week in Villanova's Wildcat Holiday Classic, McKenzie led the team with 16 points against Drexel. The following day, McKenzie notched her fourth double-double of the season with 21 points and a career-high 11 rebounds in Loyola's win over San Francisco. McKenzie's 15 points in the second-half sparked a second-half rally that broke a half-time tie and led the 'Hounds to a 60-51 win over the Dons. The sophomore guard followed up that performance by hitting the 20-point mark again in Sunday's conference-opener at Iona. McKenzie had a game-high 20 points, pulled down seven boards and posted a new career-high with seven assists. Her 13 points in the second half helped Loyola snap a seven-game losing streak against the Gaels.
