MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

HAILILANI POKIPALA, FAIRFIELD

OH, Jr., 5-10, Honolulu, HI/Sacred Hearts Academy

Pokipala had a solid weekend for the Stags, helping them to a pair of victories. She averaged 3.50 kills, 3.17 digs, and 3.58 points per set while notching a double-double. In the Stags' 3-1 win over St. Peter's, Pokipala checked into the match and delivered nine kills, seven digs, and a block. In the Stags' 3-0 win over Siena, Pokipala notched her sixth double-double of the season with 12 kills, on .357 hitting, and 12 digs.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

ALLISON NIETERS, IONA

OH/L, Sr., 5-9, St. Charles, MO/Lutheran

Nieters had 51 digs in the Gaels' two contests this weekend against Siena and Manhattan. Against the Jaspers, Nieters had 27 of the team's 93 digs. Nieters has 2492 digs in her career, seventh on the NCAA's all-time list.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

GRACE HILL, MARIST

OH, Fr., 5-11, Portage, MI/Portage Northern

Hill led Marist with 32 kills on the weekend, including a match-high 19 kills in Marist's 3-1 victory over Manhattan on Oct. 16. Hill also tallied 16 digs and two total blocks against the Jaspers. In Marist's 3-0 victory over Saint Peter's on Oct. 17, Hill finished with another match-high 13 kills and 14 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. She also added two service aces and two blocks against the Peahens to help the Red Foxes complete their second straight weekend sweep of MAAC opponents. For the week, Hill averaged 4.57 kills per set and 5.21 points per set.
