Leitch, a senior midfielder, provided all the scoring for Loyola this past weekend, notching two goals in a 2-0 win over Canisius on Friday before tallying another against Niagara in a 1-0 win on Sunday.
EMERY WELSHMAN, SIENA
M/F, So., 5-11, 160, Mississauga, Ont./Loyola Catholic
Welshman, a sophomore midfielder/forward, recorded seven points as Siena outscored its two opponents this past weekend, 11-1. In the Saints' 7-1 win over Saint Peter's, he posted his first career hat trick in just a 16 and a half minute span, which included the game winner.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
KYLE WITTMAN, LOYOLA
GK, Sr., 6-1, 197, Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall College
Wittman, a senior goalkeeper, ran his shutout streak to three in a row with two clean sheets against Canisius and Niagara. He made a combined 11 saves in the two victories.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
JAMES BEESTON, SIENA
M, Fr., 5-10, 142, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, England/Wolstanton
Beeston, a freshman midfielder, recorded two goals and one assist in a 2-0 week for the Saints. He scored a goal in just 34 minutes of action in Siena's 4-0 victory over Manhattan.
