Gonzalez, Frauenhofer Earn MAAC Runner of the Week Awards

Rider's Christian Gonzalez and Canisius' Maura Frauenhofer
were named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week,
respectively.
Gonzalez, a senior from Somerset, N.J.,
finished 16th in a Rider-record time of 24:15 at Lehigh’s Paul Short
Run in the 8K Gold Race, which featured six of the top 25 teams in Division I.
Frauenhofer, a senior from Williamsville, N.Y., placed second of 385 runners and helped lead
the women's team to a fourth place finish at the Brooks/Paul Short Run on
Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa. Frauenhofer finished with a time of 21:39, which was
36 seconds off pace of the leader.
The 2010 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
Championships will be held on October 29 at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison,
Connecticut.
