Leitch, a senior midfielder, scored a hat trick in Loyola's 4-3 overtime win over Marist. He also notched an assist against Siena on Friday for seven total points for the weekend.
EMERY WELSHMAN, SIENA
M/F, So., 5-11, 160, Mississauga, Ont./Loyola Catholic
Welshman, a sophomore midfielder/forward, posted three goals, including two game winners, in two road victories over Loyola and Rider this past weekend.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
JESSE FULLERTON, IONA
GK, So., 6-1, 205, Weston, Fla./FIU
Fullerton, a sophomore goalkeeper, made eight saves with an .889 save percentage in two complete games for Iona. In a 3-0 victory at Manhattan, he earned his fourth career shutout and sixth overall win, making two stops in the contest. Fullerton made six saves at Saint Peter's.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
FRANKLIN CASTELLANOS, IONA
M, Fr., 5-6, 150, Dover, N.J./Dover
Castellanos, a freshman midfielder, scored the game-winning goal in Iona's 3-0 shutout victory at Manhattan. He put his team on the board with the 33rd minute tally. Castellanos added an assist later in the match to push his point total to three.
