Buffalo, NY - On Wednesday November 10 athletic administrators and student-athletes from Canisius College
spent a day with five eighth graders from St. Monica's School. They gave the students
an opportunity to get a taste of what college is all about and to experience being a
student. The day consisted of taking them on a tour around campus, visiting the library, some classrooms in Old
Main, the dorm buildings, eating lunch in the cafeteria, visiting the Koessler Athletic Center where they
had the opportunity to see the
women's basketball locker room and visit with a few of the
players, watch volleyball practice and meet with the
team to ask them questions. As a closing event, they got to attend a volleyball match on the Sunday. Two of the students also participated in the promotional event
where they each won a pair of GRIFFS shorts.
