Niagara, Iona Book Place in MAAC Volleyball Championship Match on ESPN3

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. - Niagara and Iona will play for the 2010 MAAC Volleyball Championship on Saturday at the HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN3.com at 2 p.m.
Top-seeded Niagara advanced to its second consecutive MAAC Championship match with a 3-1 victory over #5 Fairfield. Niagara won its first-ever MAAC title last season.
#2 Iona defeated #3 Canisius, 3-1. After splitting the first two sets, Canisius led 19-12 and 23-19 in the third, but couldn't hold off a Gaels rally that gave Iona the momentum and the match. Iona will appear in its first championship match since 2004 when it defeated Fairfield.
Fairfield and Canisius will play in the third-place match on Saturday at 11 a.m.
#10 Rider picked up another win, topping Saint Peter's, 3-1, to advance in the consolation bracket. The Broncs then jumped out to a two sets to none lead over Manhattan, but the Lady Jaspers rallied to win, 3-2. #4 Manhattan will play for fifth place against #7 Marist, who picked up wins against #8 Siena (3-2) and #6 Loyola (3-1).
