LINNEY, FAIRFIELD
Sophomore, Guard, 5-8, Freehold, N.J./St. John Vianney
Linney averaged 26.5 points on 78.3
percent shooting as she led the Stags in scoring in both wins on the week. She
started the week with a career-high 30 points against George Mason, tying a
school-record with seven three-pointers. Linney hit 7-8 from behind the arc in
that game and finished the week 12-16 (75%) from downtown. She then scored 23
points in the win over Cornell, shooting 8-11 to bring her weeks shooting
effort to 18-23. Linney was good on 5-6 from the free throw line in the two
games. She also had four assists, four rebounds and a steal on the week.
SERENA
MOORE, SIENA
Senior, Forward, 6-2, Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney
Moore had a fantastic week for the
Saints, averaging 22.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals while
shooting 50% from the field in the team's two games. In Monday's
come-from-behind win over Colgate, Moore scored 14 of her game-high 20 points
in the second half and added seven rebounds and a career-high six assists. On
Saturday, against Wagner, Moore again led the way with 25 points and a
career-high tying 12 rebounds. She added four steals and blocked two shots.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
JEN LENNOX, CANISIUS
Freshman, Forward, 6-4, Kitchener, Ontario/Forest Heights
Lennox averaged 10.5 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting
53.3 percent from the floor in two games last week. The 6-foot-4 forward scored
a career high with 12 points against Binghamton, while also recording two
blocks. Lennox then had nine points and a career-high nine rebounds in the win
at Colgate.
