Edison, NJ - The first Indoor Track & Field Performers of the Week honors of the 2010-2011 season were awarded to Tobias Lundgren and Malin Olsson, both from Manhattan College.

Lundgren blew away the field in the 5000 meters at Saturday's Yale Lidlifter Invitational.  He won the event by more than a minute and a half, breaking the 15-minute barrier in the process.  Lundgren easily qualified for the Metropolitan Championships with a time of 14:59.67.

In the first meet of her collegiate career, Olsson set a school record in the long jump in the Manhattan Opener on Wednesday.  On her final jump of the competition, Olsson leaped 6.06 meters (19'10¾) to break the old mark of 6.04 and qualify for the ECAC Championships.  Her mark was also an NCAA provisional qualifier.  Then on Saturday at the Yale Lidlifter Invitational, Olsson qualified for the Metropolitan Championships in two more events, the 60 meters (8.08 seconds) and the 200 meters (26.27).

The 2011 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted on February 18 at The New Balance Track & Field Center in New York, NY.
