Two MAAC Men's Basketball Games Will Be Televised on Friday

Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2009-10 MAAC Basketball Television Schedule with two men's basketball games on a pair of ESPN platforms.
The first game will feature Fairfield University at Rider University at 7:00 p.m., live on ESPNU, the 24-hour sports network. Fairfield, 9-5 in the MAAC, is led by freshman guard Derek Needham, who is contributing 16.1 points and 5.6 assists per game, and senior forward Anthony Johnson, who is posting 14.4 points and 9.1 rebounds an outing for the Stags. Rider, 7-7 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Ryan Thompson, who is averaging 16.1 points and 5.2 rebounds a night, and junior guard Justin Robinson, who is adding 13.3 points and 3.5 rebounds a game for the Broncs.
Game two has Siena College facing host Niagara University for a 8:00 p.m. tip-off on ESPN2. Siena, 14-0 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Alex Franklin, who is registering 16.2 points and 7.9 rebounds a night, and senior guard/forward Edwin Ubiles, who is contributing 15.7 points and 3.8 caroms a night for the Saints. Niagara, 6-8 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Tyrone Lewis, who is averaging 16.3 points and 4.5 rebounds an outing, and senior guard/forward Bilal Benn, who is registering 13.5 points and 9.8 rebounds a night for the Purple Eagles.
