RYAN THOMPSON, RIDER
Senior, Guard, 6-6, 220, Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape
Thompson, a senior guard, averaged 29.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Broncs. In the win at Saint Peter's, he netted 21 points, 18 of which came in the second half. At Hofstra, Thompson scored a career-high 38 points and also contributed nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals. He had compiled 178 points over the last seven games (25.4 point per game).
MAAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
COLIN NICKERSON, FAIRFIELD
Freshman, Guard, 6-4, 150, Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan
Nickerson, a freshman guard, averaged 16.5 points per game, shot 65 percent from the floor (11 of 17) and 90 percent (9 of 10) from the free throw line in a 1-1 week for the Stags. As a reserve, he set a career-high with 13 points in a win at Manhattan last Monday, and reset his career-best with a 20-point effort at Vermont over the weekend. Nickerson came off the bench to a personal best 32 minutes against the Catamounts. He also averaged 1.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
