Loudonville, NY- Siena men’s lacrosse volunteered at the 50th annual Center for Disability Services Telethon Sunday afternoon which was held in Albany and broadcast on FOX 23. It is the fifth year the Saints have manned the phones and taken donations on behalf of the Center. Senior captains Matt Leithead, Kyle Vercruysse and Mike Whalen presented a check from the program for $1,000.
“This has been a great experience for us as a program to help a local foundation,” Head Coach Brian Brecht said. “We’re happy to give our time and make a donation to the Center because it does so much for so many people in the Capital District community.”
Siena players took donations over the phone from 4-6 p.m.
A record $1,904,268 was raised at this year’s event.
