ASHLEY CORRISS, MARIST
Sophomore, OF, 5-6, Sayville, N.Y./St. Anthony's
Corriss is on a four-game hitting streak to open the 2010 Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. She went 3-for-4 with a double in Marist's 6-2 loss to Colgate on Sunday afternoon and notched a hit in each of the Red Foxes' other three contests over the weekend. Corriss has scored four runs, including two against Wagner. Additionally, she is a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts and has recorded two putouts in the outfield. For the weekend Corriss went 6-for-12 in the leadoff spot of the lineup.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
RACHAEL MATREALE, RIDER
Sophomore, P, 5-10, Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown
Matreale went 1-0 with a 1.00 earned run average as Rider went undefeated at the Rebel Spring Games this past weekend. Against Columbia, she recorded seven strikeouts and allowed only three hits as Rider used a walk off home run in the bottom of the seventh to win it.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
SAM PUGH, RIDER
Freshman, C, 5-5, Elkton, Md./Elkton
Pugh led Rider to two wins this past weekend at the Rebel Spring Games, batting .429. She doubled against Columbia and hit her first collegiate home run, a walk-off solo shot to give the Broncs a 2-1 win over the Lions. Pugh also had a hit and an RBI in Rider's 5-4 win over Colgate. She also handled 10 fielding chances without an error.
