Von Nordheim Named MAAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Edison, NJ - Marist’s Marcus Von Nordheim was selected as the MAAC Men’s Tennis Player
of the Week. Due to a lack of competition, there was no Women’s Tennis
Player of the Week for this week.
Von Nordheim was the only Marist player to notch a victory against Loyola Marymount University, a member of the West Coast Conference, on Sunday at the Manhattan Beach Tennis Club in Los Angeles, Calif. LMU, which was a top-75 program earlier in the spring season, won the match 6-1. Von Nordheim defeated Johan Berhof 6-3, 5-7, 10-4 in the sixth singles rematch. He has won his last three matches and five of his last seven, dating back to Jan. 23-24.
The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships will take place from
April 23rd through April 25th at the USTA Billie Jean King National
Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
