Mujanovic, Palacios Earn First 2010 Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Edison, NJ – Manhattan College’s Seid Mujanovic was named
the MAAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Performer of the Week, while
fellow Jasper Heidy Palacios earned the women’s award.
Mujanovic, a 6-0 senior from Travankut, Serbia, took first place in the hammer throw on the opening afternoon of the Baldy Castillo Invitational Track & Field Meet held at Arizona State University in Tempe. Mujanovic won the event with an NCAA Regional qualifying distance of 63.02 meters.
Palacios, a 5-6 sophomore from Yonkers, N.Y., won the 400-meter event with an ECAC qualifying time of 55.95 on the closing day of the Baldy Castillo Invitational.
The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field
Championships will be held May 1-2 on the campus of Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J.
