Marist's Curylo Named To Brooks Wallace Award Watch List

LUBBOCK, Texas - Senior shortstop Richard Curylo (Staten Island, N.Y.) of the Marist baseball team has been named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List, it was announced Tuesday by the College Baseball Foundation. The award is given to the nation's top shortstop, and will be presented on July 2 in Lubbock, Texas as part of the College Baseball Awards Show.

Curylo was one of 54 shortstops named to the list. This season, he is hitting .338 with three home runs, 14 runs batted in and 20 runs scored. He is tied for the team lead in slugging percentage at .569.

Curylo is the only shortstop in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to be named to the list.
