MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

CARLY QUINN, CANISIUS

A, Jr., 5-7, Orangeville, Ontario/Orangeville SS

Quinn led the Griffs with seven points in a dominating 20-5 victory against Detroit, scoring three goals and registering a game-high four assists. Her seven points, three goals and four assists are all career highs.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

GINA MOLFETTA, CANISIUS

G, Fr., 5-2, Carmel, NY/Mahopac

Molfetta won her first collegiate game in net on Sunday. In the Griffs' victory against Detroit, Molfetta matched a season high with 10 saves, while allowing only five goals. The five goals allowed by Canisius is the lowest total since a 16-3 victory against Howard on March 7, 2009.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

BRITTNEY MABUS, IONA

A, Fr., 5-6, Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown

Mabus continued her impressive rookie campaign with three points on two goals and one assist in two contests for Iona over the past week.  She picked up her seventh career goal at Quinnipiac with the Gaels' first tally of the second half against the Bobcats.  In Iona's 20-5 home win over Liberty, Mabus pitched in with a goal and an assist with three shots, five ground balls, and one caused turnover in the victory.
