TUCKER NATHANS, FAIRFIELD
Junior, 2B, 6-1, 180, Warwick, N.Y./Salisbury Academy
Nathans swung a hot bat for the Stags, hitting .500 (11-for-22), slugging 1.045, driving in 13 runs, and scoring six. Six of his 11 hits were for extra bases (3 HR, 3 2B). He also walked three times and stole two bases. In the Stags' win at Hartford, Nathans set a single game record by driving nine runs; he went 4-for-7 on the day, including two three-run homers and two doubles, with four runs scored. In the Stags' 3-2 win against Saint Peter's, Nathans drove in the game winning run by doubling to centerfield. Nathans, who raised his batting average 76 points this week and increased his hitting streak to six games, is batting .308 this season with a team-high 19 RBI and seven doubles.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
B.J. MARTIN, MARIST
Senior, RHP, 6-0, 185, Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan
Martin tossed a complete game in leading Marist to a 5-1 win in the second game of a Saturday doubleheader against Manhattan, which leads the MAAC in batting average. He struck out eight Jaspers and did not allow an extra-base hit in the contest.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
BRIAN SCHROEDER, SAINT PETER'S
Freshman, C/RHP, 5-11, 209, Iselin, N.J./JFK-Iselin
Schroeder went 7-15 at the plate over the course of four games this past week. In the first game against Fairfield, his late-inning three-run home run was the eventual game winner. On Sunday, Schroeder led the Peacocks with four hits in five plate appearances while batting in two. He also saw a third of an inning as a pitcher.
