Albany, NY - The 2010 Citizens Bank MAAC Women's Basketball Championship begins Thursday, March 4 with two first round contests. Both games can be seen live on MAACSports.com.
Seventh-seeded Siena and tenth-seeded Rider will get things underway with a noon tip-off. The Saints went 2-0 in the season series, defeating the Broncs 57-43 in Loudonville and 58-48 at Rider in a game televised on ESPNU.
The second game of the day, set for a 2:00 p.m. start, will feature eighth-seeded Saint Peter's against ninth-seeded Canisius. The two teams split the head-to-head matchups with each side winning on its home court. Canisius advanced to last season's MAAC Championship Game.
The 2010 MAAC Basketball Postseason Awards Ceremony will follow the two games with a scheduled start time of 5:00 p.m. Fans can watch the awards program free of charge on MAACSports.com.
