Semifinal Matchups Set for 2010 Citizens Bank MAAC Men's Basketball Championship

ALBANY, N.Y. - The semifinals of the 2010 Citizens Bank MAAC Men's Basketball Championship take place on Sunday afternoon at the Times Union Center.
The first contest features top-seeded Siena College versus fifth-seeded Rider University. The Saints are looking for their third win over the Broncs this season, after earning an 84-62 win on Dec. 23 at the Times Union Center and an 80-54 win on Feb. 26 at Alumni Gymnasium.
The second game of the night includes second-seeded Fairfield University and sixth-seeded Niagara University. The programs split their games during the regular season, with the Purple Eagles claiming a 77-68 win on Jan. 4 at the Gallagher Center and the Stags taking an 80-74 overtime win on Feb. 28 at the Arena at Harbor Yard.
The winners of today's semifinals advance to the championship game on Monday night at 7:00 p.m., which will air live on ESPN2. The victor of that game will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship.
