CAITLIN MIKEL,

Mikel scored 13
goals in a 2-1 week for the Saints. She matched a season-high with seven goals,
including the game winner, in a 13-10 win against Manhattan on Friday. She
followed that with a five-goal performance in a 15-6 win against Iona on
Sunday. Two different times against Iona, the Gaels scored and Mikel answered
nine seconds later. Both times on the
ensuing faceoff, Mikel caught the draw and sprinted past the entire defense for
a one-on-one with the goalie.

MEGAN OOSTING,
CANISIUS

Lakefield, Ontario/Lakefield District
Oosting anchored the Canisius defense during the
weekend, helping the Griffs earn their first conference victory of the season
against Marist. In the victory, Oosting set career highs with six ground balls
and four caused turnovers to go along with four second-half goals. She also
added three caused turnovers, two ground balls and two goals against Fairfield.
During the weekend, Oosting led the Griffs with eight ground balls, seven
caused turnovers and six goals.
MAAC Rookie of the Week

MANGAN, FAIRFIELD

Sayville, NY/St. Anthony's
Mangan led the Stags offense during the
team's opening weekend of MAAC play. She tallied eight of her nine points this
week against Canisius and Niagara. Mangan netted four goals, including the
game-winner, against Canisius, as the team's leading scorer in the game. She
added three goals and an assist in the win over Niagara.
