2010 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Bracket Set

Edison, N.J. - The 2010 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship begins this Friday, April 30 with a pair of games at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field on the campus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
At 4:00 p.m., top-seeded Fairfield University, the 2010 Regular Season Champions, will face fourth-seeded Siena College. The second semifinal, slated to begin 45 minutes after the completion of the first game, will feature second-seeded Canisius College and third-seeded Marist. The championship game will be played on Sunday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. All three contests can be seen live on www.maacsports.com.
Fairfield enters the championship as the top seed for the third consecutive year. The Stags went undefeated in conference play (6-0) and is currently 12-4 overall. Siena qualified for the MAAC Championship for the second time in program history after going 3-3 in the league and 7-8 overall. The Stags and the Saints will face off for the second time in a week, after Fairfield earned a 10-9 win over Siena on April 25 at Alumni Stadium.
Canisius owns a 5-1 league mark and an overall record of 10-7. Marist heads into the conference championship with a 4-2 MAAC record (8-7 overall). In their regular season matchup, the Griffs claimed a 16-15 overtime victory over the Red Foxes on April 11 at the Demske Sports Complex.
Tickets for the 2010 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship can be purchased at the gate. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children and students.
