Manhattan Men, Rider Women Lead After Day One of Outdoor Track Championships

Lawrenceville, NJ- The Manhattan College men and the Rider University women lead after the first day of the 2010 MAAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track Championships in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
The Manhattan men finished the day with 63 points, followed by Rider with 39 points, Marist College with 38, Iona College with 27, and Saint Peter's College with 18.
The Rider women collected 65 points, while Manhattan posted 51 points. Iona College is third with 42 points, Saint Peter's with 38, Loyola with 21, and Marist with 14.
Rider's Alicia Price set a new MAAC Outdoor Track Championship record in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 52.93m, passing the old mark of 52.22m by Manhattan's LaCole Fields in 2000.
The 2010 MAAC Outdoor Track Championships continue tomorrow from Rider University, beginning at 11 a.m.
