JACI RAHEY, MANHATTAN
Junior, 1B, 6-0, West Milford, N.J./DePaul Catholic
Rahey hit .556 with three home runs and 11 RBIs as the Lady Jaspers went 5-1 last week to clinch a place in the MAAC Tournament. Rahey belted a long three-run homer that gave Manhattan the lead for good, as the Lady Jaspers won 6-1 to complete a doubleheader sweep at Marist. She then followed up with a pair of home runs in Manhattan's 7-5 victory over Fairfield. The two homers against Fairfield were her ninth and 10th on the season, making her just the second player in school history to hit 10 home runs in one season. Rahey added an RBI single in the second game to extend her hitting streak to 11 games.
MAAC Co-Pitchers of the Week
SARAH JACKSON, IONA
Sophomore, RHP, 5-8, Citrus Heights, Calif./Del Campo
In two appearances this week, Jackson allowed one run in 2.2 innings of work. In relief at Hofstra, she went 2.2 innings and allowed just one run. Against Saint Peter's, Jackson retired all 15 batters en route to a five inning perfect game. She struck out 11 of 15 batters, her seventh double digit strikeout outing of the year.
RACHAEL MATREALE, RIDER
Sophomore, RHP, 5-10, Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown
Matreale went 2-0 in Rider's undefeated week to wrap up the 2010 season. Against Fairfield, she threw an eight-inning complete game shutout, allowing only three hits with six strikeouts as the Broncs won 2-0. In game two, Matreale again went the distance, allowing only three hits in Rider's 12-2 win over the Stags. For the week, she had a 0.54 earned run average as the Broncs finished one game out of the playoff race.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
EMILY OSTERHAUS, MARIST
Freshman, RHP, 5-4, Suwanee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge
Osterahaus amassed an ERA of just 1.85 in 34 innings of work last week and lowered her season total by almost two runs. She went 2-2 on the week with a save in the circle and picked up wins against Hartford and Niagara. Osterahaus pitched Marist's first shutout of the season in game one against the Hawks. She ended the week with a complete-game victory over Niagara in the season finale. For the week, she struck out 23 batters, including six against Manhattan in a nine inning, 2-1 loss.
