MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

ANDREW SCALLEY, MOUNT ST. MARY'S

A, Fr., 5-11, 160, Arnold, MD/Archbishop Spalding

Scalley had eight goals and two assists to pace the Mount to a pair of victories to clinch the No. 2 seed in the MAAC Tournament. The freshman posted a career-best five goals while adding an assist for a six-point day in the Mount's 13-9 win at Marist on Saturday. He opened the week by tallying three goals and an assist in a 17-7 win over VMI on Wednesday.  Scalley scored on eight of his 13 shots (61.5 percent) for the week. For the season, Scalley now has 26 goals and 15 assists for 41 points. The freshman has scored 17 goals and dished out seven assists for 24 points over the past six games.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

BRENT HERBST, SIENA

G, Sr., 6-0, 185, Plainview, N.Y./Plainview JFK

Herbst had a 2.70 GAA and stopped an amazing 81.5% of the shots on goal as he led Siena to two wins and the team's second straight undefeated regular season MAAC championship. Herbst allowed two goals and had eight saves in a 4-2 win at Canisius on Wednesday. It was the lowest combined score for a single game that Siena's ever played in (45 years). Herbst made 14 saves against Manhattan and allowed just three goals before he was relieved with nine minutes left and the game in hand.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

JOEL MATTHEWS, DETROIT

A, Fr., 6-3, St. Catharines, Ontario/Holy Cross Secondary

Matthews had three goals and two assists to leads the Titans offense with five points in the win over Wagner. The hat trick was his seventh of the season as he led the Titans in goals (37) and points (48) on the season. He also picked up three ground balls.
