Edison, NJ - The 2010 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship begins Friday, May 7, at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field on the campus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The first semifinal contest will feature second-seeded Mount St. Mary's University against third-seeded Manhattan College at 4:00 p.m. The two teams met in the semifinals last season with Manhattan edging the Mountaineers, 5-3. Mount St. Mary's enters the game with a 7-1 MAAC record (10-4 overall), while the Jaspers went 5-3 in conference play (7-8 overall). Mount St. Mary's defeated Manhattan, 5-4, on April 17.

The second semifinal game pits top-seeded Siena College against hosts Marist College at 7:00 p.m. Siena, the defending MAAC Champions, enter the game having won 21 straight games against MAAC opponents and will be aiming to become just the second team to win back-to-back league titles. The Saints went 8-0 in conference games and 11-4 overall. Marist had a league record of 5-3 (8-6 overall). However, the Red Foxes enter the championship having lost three of their last four games.
