Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has announced the renewal of a marketing partnership with Academy Bus Inc. through the spring of 2014.
Academy operates more than 500 motor coaches from seven locations in New Jersey, with sales offices in New York, Philadelphia and Connecticut. Academy is the largest privately-owned motor coach operator in North America.
"Our recent expansion to Connecticut has already benefitted from our partnership with the MAAC," said Julie McColley, Sales Manager at Academy. "We are pleased to continue our relationship."
As part of their agreement with the MAAC, Academy will be the exclusive bus transportation provider for all the men's and women's basketball teams from the 10 MAAC member institutions for the 2011-2014 MAAC Basketball Championships.
"The MAAC athletic administrators fully endorsed the extension of the Academy Bus sponsorship as the firm provided great service during the MAAC Basketball Championships with affordable pricing," stated Richard J. Ensor, Commissioner of the MAAC.
Academy is currently the title sponsor of the MAAC Commissioner's Cup award, which is awarded annually as a symbol of overall excellence in athletics in the 24 championship athletic events conducted within the MAAC.
