NICHOLE SCHIRO, LOYOLA
F, So., 5-9, Okemos, Mich./Okemos
Schiro, a sophomore forward, had her second multi-goal game of the season on Friday night, scoring a pair of first-half goals at two-time defending Big 12 Champions Missouri. She put the Greyhounds on the board with a 1-0 advantage, and then shortly before halftime put in a header that gave Loyola a 2-0 lead. The goals were her team-leading fourth and fifth of 2010.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
TRISTA RIVERA, IONA
GK, Fr., 5-7, Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham Wading River
Rivera, a freshman goalkeeper, improved her career save percentage to 84.6% with a clean bill this week. The rookie goalkeeper made a career-high nine saves for her second shutout of the year in Iona's 1-0 road win over Binghamton.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
JAC LEY, FAIRFIELD
M, Fr., 5-7, Marine, Minn./Hill Murray
Ley, a freshman midfielder, broke into the scoring column in a big way in the Stags' win over Stony Brook, netting the first two goals of her collegiate career. She finished the week with four points and was the team's leading scorer. Ley is the first Stag to have a multi-goal game this season.
