James, Morgan, and Hill Selected As Volleyball Players of the Week

MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

MICHELLE JAMES, NIAGARA

S, Jr., 5-9, Cincinnati, OH/Mother of Mercy

James had a solid all-around performance in Niagara's weekend sweep of Rider and Loyola. James tallied 10 kills and committed zero errors for a sparkling .714 hitting percentage and had three service aces. James had 50 assists in both matches for a .781 assist percentage and led each match in assists. James also averaged 2.67 digs per set.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

SAM MORGAN, NIAGARA

L, Sr., 5-9, Cincinnati, OH/Colerain

Morgan had 37 digs in two matches and extended her NCAA-best double-digit digs streak to 78 matches over the weekend. Morgan had a perfect reception percentage (23-for-23) over two matches. Morgan also played a role on the offense contributing with seven assists, including five against Rider, and tied a team season-high with five service aces versus Loyola. 

MAAC Rookie of the Week

GRACE HILL, MARIST

OH, Fr., 5-11, Portage, MI/Portage Northern

Hill recorded her fifth double-double of the season in Marist's 3-0 win over Iona on Saturday. She finished with a match-high 16 kills against the Gaels including a .344 hitting percentage. She also led the team with 14 digs and added two blocks. Against Saint Peter's on Sunday, Hill recorded another match-high 13 kills while finishing with nine digs. For the week, Hill totaled 29 kills while averaging 5.58 points per set and 4.83 kills per set. Additionally, she tallied 23 digs on the weekend while averaging 3.83 digs per set.
