Palacios and Brown Win Weekly Indoor Track & Field Honors

Edison, NJ - Indoor Track
& Field Performer of the Week honors were awarded to Heidy Palacios of
Manhattan College and Steven Brown of Rider University.
At the Metro Coaches
Invitational on Friday, Palacios improved her ECAC-qualifying time in the 500
meters to a personal-best 1:14.38. She
was the top collegian in the event and finished second overall. Her time was the third-fastest in the ECAC so
far this season.
Brown tied for
the top distance in the triple jump with an IC4A qualifying distance of 14.93m
at the Penn State Invite this past Saturday. Brown finished second in the
event based on criteria.
The 2011 MAAC
Indoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted on February 18 at The New
Balance Track & Field Center in New York, NY.
