Jenkins, a senior guard, scored a career-high 31 points, including seven threes and career-best 10-10 from the free throw line, in the Peacocks' 77-57 win over Niagara. Jenkins, in his third game back from his second stint on the injured list, was 7-13 from the field, including 7-9 from three, and had nine rebounds in the win.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
SEAN ARMAND, IONA
Freshman, Guard, 6-3, 190, Brooklyn, N.Y./CJEOTO Academy (N.J.)
Armand, a freshman guard, averaged 19.5 points per game in two MAAC wins this weekend at Rider and versus Marist. He shot 78.9% (15-for-19) from the field and 69.2% (9-for-13) from behind the arc in 17.5 minutes per game. Armand had 17 points in a 100-96 overtime win at Rider, tallying all of his points in the final 15 minutes of regulation and overtime. He shot 7-for-9 from the field with three three-pointers. Against Marist on Sunday, Armand had a career-high 22 points, connecting on an Iona rookie record six three-point field goals in the 38-point win over the Red Foxes.
