Manhattan Sweeps Weekly Indoor Track & Field Awards

Edison, NJ - Indoor Track & Field Performer of the
Week honors were awarded to Albert Johnson III and Malin Olsson, both from
Manhattan College.
In his first competition of
the year, Johnson won the long jump at the Metro Coaches Invitational on Friday
night. His winning leap of 7.19 meters
(23 feet, 7¼ inches) easily qualified Johnson for the IC4A Championships.
Olsson won the long jump for
the third time in as many meets at the Metro Coaches Invitational. She posted another ECAC qualifying mark with
a jump of 5.89 meters (19 feet, 4 inches).
Olsson also finished fourth in the triple jump on Friday, leaping 11.83
m (39'9¾).
The 2011 MAAC
Indoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted on February 18 at The New
Balance Track & Field Center in New York, NY.
