Manhattan to Host Saint Peter's on January 23 on MSG and MASN

Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2010-11 MAAC Basketball Television Schedule with Manhattan College hosting Saint Peter's College on Sunday, January 23. Game time is slated for 12:00 p.m. at Draddy Gymnasium, and will air on the MSG Network and MASN.
Saint Peter's, 10-9 overall and 5-3 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Wesley Jenkins, who is registering 14.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, and senior guard Nick Leon, who is averaging 10.4 points and 3.1 assists an outing for the Peacocks.
Manhattan, 3-16 overall and 1-7 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard/forward George Beamon, who is registering 15.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, and freshman guard Michael Alvarado, who is averaging 10.9 points and 3.1 assists an outing for the Jaspers.
On December 4, 2010, Jenkins scored 22 points to lead Saint Peter's over Manhattan, 66-49, at the Yanitelli Center. Jenkins was 7 of 13 from the field with all but one basket coming from behind the 3-point arc (6 of 10). Saint Peter's trailed 26-23 with 3:10 left in the first half before a 3-pointer by Jenkins tied it a little more than a minute later, and Jeron Belin's three put the Peacocks up for good, 29-26, with 39 seconds left in the half. Belin finished with 12 points and Darius Conley added 11 for the Peacocks, who scored 18 points off 13 Manhattan turnovers. Nick Walsh paced the Jaspers with 15 points.
