Player of the Week

KATIE SHEAHIN, LOYOLA

Sophomore, Guard, 5-10, Brookeville, MD/Our Lady of Good Counsel

In two games this week, Sheahin  averaged 17 points per game, 6.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks. She shot 63.2% from the floor, 50% on three-point attempts, and 87.5% from the line. Against UMBC, Sheahin recorded 15 points shooting 50-percent from the field and was 2-of-2 from the free throw line. She also recorded three assists and three rebounds for the Greyhounds. She also had a career high seven assists against UMBC. In the conference opening victory over Manhattan, she had her second double-double of the season with a career high 19 points and 10 assists. She also had seven rebounds and three steals. She shot 86-percent from the field on 6-of-7 shots. She also shot 84-percent from the free throw line making 5-of-6 shots.

Rookie of the Week

 JEN MORABITO, CANISIUS

Freshman, Guard, 5-9, Binghamton, N.Y./Binghamton

Morabito led Canisius with a 17.0 points per game average in two contests last week. The freshman shot 50 percent from the field and was 8-for-13 (61.5 percent) from behind the arc. Morabito made four 3-pointers in each game and also had five assists on the week. The 5-foot-9 guard is the first freshman since Canisius went to the Division I level to score 16 or more points in four straight games.
