Pepsi Renews Partnership with the MAAC

Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announces it has extended its partnership with Pepsi Cola through the 2013-2014 season.
As a MAAC partner for over 16 years, Pepsi plays an instrumental role in supporting the MAAC's goals and student-athletes. Their title sponsorship of the Pepsi Max MAAC Game of the Week can be seen in over 20 million homes on the MSG Network and MASN and over 73 million homes on ESPN3.com. As title sponsor, Pepsi receives prominent exposure through on-air media, signage, awards (including the Pepsi Max MAAC Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Year), online publicity and extensive promotional efforts, including the MAAC Shootout and the MAAC/Pepsi Refresh Goodworks Challenge.
With the MAAC/Pepsi Refresh Goodworks Challenge, volunteers (students, student-athletes, coaches, school faculty and administrators) from the 10 MAAC member institutions will organize, participate in and document as many community service events as possible in an effort to earn points for the challenge. The school with the most points at the end of the challenge will receive a $1,000 donation to the charity of its choice.
"Pepsi is committed to its continued relationship with the MAAC and its student athletes," said Kate Brady, representative from Media and Strategy Investment at the Pepsi Cola Company.
"Pepsi's four-year sponsorship with the conference continues an association that has mutually benefited both organizations, providing brand growth and awareness for MAAC basketball broadcasts and Pepsi products on league member school campuses," notes MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. "I want to thank Pepsi Cola and their bottlers for their continued support of the MAAC, its member schools, athletic departments and student-athletes."
