New Rochelle, N.Y. - The Out of the Darkness walk took place on October 2nd and is held in Croton, New York annually. It is part of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.  It is a community walk with special messages from different chairs. All money goes into finding help for people with depression. The Iona Women's Lacrosse team did many things to help the walk. They set up the stage and tables. They organized shirts, beads and books. And most importantly they ran all of the registration tables to help the walk run smoothly. Each participant assisted for 4 hours, 7:30 am- 11:30 am. This is the 3rd year the Iona Women's Lacrosse team has volunteered at this event.
