Picanco, Haracic and Epstein Earn Weekly Honors

Offensive Player of the Week
Kayla Picanco, Niagara, So., F, 5-6, Toronto, Ont./Loretto College
Picanco helped the Purple Eagles to a 2-0-0 record this weekend by recording three goals for six points on the weekend. She scored all three of her goals in a hat-trick effort on Friday, as Niagara defeated Saint Peter's, 4-2. Picanco netted her first career hat trick, including the game-winning goal. She averaged 1.5 goals per game and three points per game this past weekend.
Defensive Player of the Week
Didi Haracic, Loyola, So., GK, 5-8, Round Hill, Va./Loudon Valley
Haracic notched her second-consecutive clean sheet and her first career in MAAC play in Loyola's 3-0 win over Rider. She finished with four saves. Haracic made one stop early in the match to keep the game scoreless, diving to her left to save a header from a Rider player in the 38th minute.
Rookie of the Week
Amanda Epstein, Marist, Fr., F, 5-5, Jericho, N.Y./Jericho
Epstein scored the game-winning goal in the 58th minute to lead her team to a MAAC opening day victory at Iona. This was her sixth goal of 2011 and fourth game winner. Epstein later assisted on a Rycke Guiney tally that made the score 3-1. For the weekend, she finished with three points on a goal and an assist.
