Offensive Player of the Week

Rookie MB Catrina Warren posted 3.56 kills and 1.22 blocks
and hit a team best .357 in nine sets played during Iona's 2-0 MAAC weekend vs.
Rider and Loyola. Warren recorded 32
kills, 11 blocks, 13 digs and four aces during the week. She posted a career-best 18 kills vs. Rider
on Saturday before a 14-kill, .480 hitting percentage, six block, six dig, and
four ace performance vs. Loyola on Sunday. Warren led Iona with 42.5 total
points.
Defensive Player of the Week
Theresa Harvey, Iona, Jr., Libero, 5-8, Fairfax, VA/Fairfax

Theresa Harvey posted 65 digs in nine sets (7.22/s) and converted 50 of 45
service receptions for the Gaels in their MAAC wins this weekend. Harvey fell one
dig shy of Iona's single-match record with 42 digs in a five-set win over Rider
on Saturday. She became just the third
Iona player to reach the 40-dig plateau.
On Sunday, she posted 23 digs in a four-set win over Loyola.
Rookie of the Week
Malia McGuinness, Manhattan, Fr., OH/MB, 5-10, Kailua,
Hawaii/Maryknoll School
McGuinness averaged 4.00 kills and 2.36 digs per set in
matches against Fairleigh Dickinson, Niagara
and Canisius last week. In the three-set
win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday night, McGuinness slammed 12 kills
and hit .364, committing just four errors in 22 attempts. She also had six digs against the
Knights. After tallying a team-high
eight kills against Niagara on Saturday,
McGuinness notched her fourth career double-double in the five-set triumph over
Canisius on Sunday. She had a
career-high 24 kills, including one on match point, as the Jaspers won in Buffalo for the first
time since 2002. McGuinness added 14
digs and hit .396 in the match.
