Baltimore, MD - A record-setting 765 members of the Loyola and
Baltimore community took part in the 9th-Annual Diane Geppi-Aikens
5K Run and 1-Mile Fun Walk on Saturday, September 17. The run honors Loyola
University women's lacrosse coach Diane Geppi-Aikens who passed away in 2003
after battling brain cancer. The majority of athletic teams, coaches, and
administrators at Loyola volunteered at the event as well as ran the race. The
annual DGA run supports the Aikens Children's Trust.
