Lake Buena Vista, Fla. -  Top-seeded Fairfield will face sixth-seeded Manhattan for the 2011 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship at noon Monday live on ESPN3.

Fairfield is 10-0-1 against MAAC opponents in 2011, having finished the regular season with eight wins and a draw before a 1-0 victory over Rider in the quarterfinals and a convincing, 3-1, triumph over Marist. The Stags are seeking their fourth conference title, the last coming in 2008. Fairfield is 3-8 in MAAC finals.

Manhattan has been the surprise team of the tournament. The Jaspers, who carried a 43-game winless streak from Sep. 5, 2009 until Oct. 14, 2011, upended third-seeded Loyola on Friday and then eliminated second-seeded and nationally ranked Iona in double overtime. Manhattan will be making its second championship game appearance and first since 1994 when they fell 4-0 to Loyola.

Fairfield defeated Manhattan, 2-0, just ten days ago behind goals from Jordan Ayris and Jon Clements, the first coming just 19 seconds into the match.

The winner will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.
