Jersey City, N.J. - The Saint Peter's College Men's Track and Field Team completed the community service project on December 13 from 9am to 11am at the Hillside Food Bank near Newark, New Jersey. The objective of the community service project was to organize the foods into specific categories such as Water, Beverages, Pet Foods, Proteins, and other classifications into boxes. It was very important to check the condition of each food as well as the expiration date. If a food did not pass one of those tests, then it was discarded in the trash. After the boxes were full, various members would carry them into a location where others boxes were packed with food as well.
