In Rider's win at Monmouth, Penn tied his career highs of points (26) and field goals made (8), while setting new career highs in rebounds (15) and three-point field goals made (6). He connected on 50 percent of his shot from the field (8-16), including 60 percent from three-point range (6-10), along with all four his attempts from the charity stripe. Penn also added two assists and two blocks in the victory. He has recorded 46 points and 19 rebounds in last two games for the Broncs.
Rookie of the Week
Evan Hymes, Siena, Fr., G, 5-8, 147, Durham, N.C./Kestrel Heights Charter
Hymes continued his stellar rookie campaign with a 22-point effort in Siena's 63-59 win over reigning Ivy League champ Princeton. He dished out six assists running the point, made 7-13 field goals and 7-8 free throws. Hymes also led a Siena offense that committed its fewest turnovers in a game (6) in four seasons. He kept Siena close by scoring 14 points in the first half against the Tigers. Hymes ranks 13th among all freshman nationally in scoring and is on pace to become just the second rookie to lead the Saints in scoring in the 71-year history of the program.
