Ewald, Raglan Earn MAAC Indoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Edison, NJ - Manhattan College’s Roman Ewald and Saint Peter’s College’s Regina Raglan were named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Performers of the Week, respectively.
Ewald, a senior from Olching, Germany, qualified for the IC4A Championships in two events at the Manhattan College Opener on Thursday. He finished second in the shot put with a toss of 16.10 meters (52 feet, 10 inches), then captured first place in the weight throw (17.35 m, 56’11¼), winning by over two meters.
At the Yale Opener this past Saturday, Raglan finished first in the shot put event with a Saint Peter's school record of 12.81 meters (42-0). Raglan, a sophomore from New Rochelle, N.Y., followed up her SPC record breaking performance with a first place finish in the weight throw by tossing an ECAC qualifying mark of 16.50 meters (54-2).
The MAAC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held on Friday, February 17th at The New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.
