Riverdale, N.Y. - On Sunday, December
4th, various Manhattan College student-athletes participated in an event
titled, "The Polar Plunge" in Staten Island, NY. The event was
a great success, a 31 member team from Manhattan College participated in
the plunge, running into the ice cold Atlantic Ocean. Each team member was
required to raise $100 in order to participate in the plunge. The Manhattan
College student-athlete donations totaled $3,903.00. All donations go toward
events held by the Special Olympics in the state of New York.
