MCKENZIE, LOYOLA

In one game this week, McKenzie led the Greyhounds in the
overtime win against Siena. McKenzie tied her career-high of 23 points and she
also recorded 10 rebounds. She also had a steal, a block and four assists for
the Greyhounds. McKenzie scored the first points for the Greyhounds of the game
that opened a 10-4 run to give Loyola a six point lead. McKenzie had only five
points and three rebounds for the Greyhounds in the first half. In the second
half, McKenzie had the first points for the Greyhounds off two free throws.
With 7:11 left in the game, the Saints started to come back, but a McKenzie
three pointer gave the Greyhounds a four-point lead. With 24 seconds left in
the game, McKenzie sunk a couple free throws to give the Greyhounds a three
point lead.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
MONICA ROEDER, MANHATTAN
Freshman, Guard/Forward, 6-0, Marlton, NJ/Cherokee
Roeder tallied a career-high 21 points to lead the Lady
Jaspers to a 64-54 victory over Saint Peter's on Saturday. She went 7-for-13 from the field, 4-for-5
from downtown and 3-for-4 at the line, while also grabbing six rebounds and
handing out two assists. After the
Peahens pulled within two early in the second half, Roeder scored 11 straight
points over a three-minute span to put Manhattan up 47-34.
