Norman scored 30 points in
four games at this past weekend's Bucknell Invitational. Her six-goal,
four-assist effort helped keep the Saints alive in their season opener against
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and she combined for eight goals and six assists in
wins over Mercyhurst and Gannon. She also had two goals and four assists
against tournament host Bucknell.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
KATHLEEN
LINK, IONA
G, Sr., 5-7, Humble, TX/Humble
Link made 14 saves in two matches this past week and registered a 9.33
goals against average. She posted a .500 save percentage in 48 minutes. Her
best performance game against Villanova, as she made 11 saves and allowed just
five goals.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
ERIKA LAURAITIS, IONA
UT, Fr., 5-11, Inverness, IL/William Fremd
Lauraitis registered two goals, four assists, and two steals in her
collegiate debut, a win over Villanova. She followed that up with an assist
versus Harvard for a weekly tally of seven points on two goals and five
assists.
