MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

BRYAN NEUFELD, SIENA

A, Jr., 5-10, 180, Virgil, Ontario/Niagara District

Neufeld finished with six points on four goals and two assists and added a career-high five groundballs as the Saints defeated Air Force 11-6 Sunday at the Carrier Dome. Neufeld scored all four of his goals and recorded five of his six points during the second half. With the game tied 5-5 late in the third period, Neufeld scored the go-ahead goal which ignited a streak of six unanswered goals by the Saints to put the game away. Neufeld accounted for three of the goals during that time and assisted on another. Against #5 Duke, Neufeld registered an assist and a ground ball.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

KEVIN DEFRANCO, MARIST

LS-M, Jr., 6-1, 191, Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River

 Defranco led the Red Foxes' defensive charge in their upset attempt of #17 Delaware on Saturday February 19. He led the Red Foxes with five caused turnovers and also collected three ground balls in the Saturday matchup.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

SHAYNE ADAMS, DETROIT

A, Fr., 5-9, 165, St. Catharines, Ontario/Denis Morris

 Adams scored six goals in Detroit's first four games of the 2011 season, including a hat-trick in the season opener against #17 Delaware. He added two goals against Bellarmine and one against #4 Maryland. Adams also picked up four ground balls and caused one turnover.
