MAAC Player of the Week

TARYN JOHNSON, FAIRFIELD

Junior, Forward, 5-11, Brockton, Mass./Brockton

Johnson had a pair of double-doubles in MAAC play this week and averaged a double-double across the Stags three games, at 17 points and 10 rebounds a game. She recorded nine steals and eight blocked shots on the week, while also handing out six assists. Johnson equaled a career-high with 22 points, as well as 10 boards at Iona. She scored the Stags first five points of overtime to give the team the lead. Johnson then netted 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against Marist at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard. She also blocked a game-high four shots and recorded a game-high four steals. Johnson shot 6-10 from the field, 2-2 at the line, against ACC foe NC State, finish with 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

MYNESHIA MCKENZIE, RIDER

Freshman, Guard/Forward, 5-11, Springfield, PA/Springfield (Delco)

McKenzie had a career-high 19 points in Rider's double overtime win over Iona and added 14 rebounds, playing 46 minutes against the Gaels as the Broncs went 1-1 this past week.  For the week, McKenzie averaged 12.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.  McKenzie averaged 2.5 steals per game and 1.0 blocks per game for the week.
